A note from our Community Service Chair...
Being HAU’s community service chair carries the responsibility of helping people for the better. I care about communities and I can utilize this position to share that empowerment with HAU!

In order to empower ourselves we must begin with our community. Through the community service events we hold, we strive to enrich ourselves, the environment, and the lives of our community members. Various events range from: outreach programs, food, clothing, and toy drives, fundraisers to battle the following problems: AIDS, breast cancer, rape and domestic violence, ecological restoration projects, holiday activities for the children of Isla Vista, participating in an after school program at IV elementary, to a valentine's dance held for the residents at Friendship Manor. These events give our hermanas the opportunity to see life beyond academics.
